This company was founded in Bristol In 1910 da William ed Edward Douglas, two former blacksmiths.
The debut of their first model came during an endurance race from John P’Groats a Land’s End, am 40 consecutive hours of course, and success was instantaneous.
In 1911 Home employed about 200 workers in the establishment of Kingswood but was between the years 1920-30 that Douglas had its greatest expansion especially in the speedway races.
The mark stood until the mid-50s.
